Lucinda, who joins Ward Hadaway as a partner in the Property department, will lead its team as it continues to build on its already established services to the finance and real estate sectors.

She brings with her almost 20 years’ experience of working on both regional and national banking and real estate finance matters, including development matters such as student accommodation and mixed use schemes together with other real estate finance matters for very many of the clearing banks.

After graduating from Leeds University, Lucinda worked at a number of national law firms as a banking and finance partner, during which time she was also a specialist in Corporate Responsibility.

Her other areas of specialist expertise include work for private banks and due diligence on high value properties, including those in central London and landed estates across the country.

Lucinda has acted for funders and borrowers and leads property due diligence for the care home sector work at Ward Hadaway. She has also advised on aspects relating to dental funding.

She said: “I am delighted to join Ward Hadaway as the firm celebrates 30 years of business, with a decade in Leeds and six years in Manchester.

“The firm has an excellent reputation for engaging with both its real estate and banking clients across the North and nationally and I am proud to be part of the team.”

Kevin Weston, partner and head of property services at Ward Hadaway’s Leeds office, said: “Lucinda’s appointment is a clear sign of the progression that the firm has made over the years and we are delighted that she has decided to join us.

“We now have 21 people in our property team here in Leeds and we are looking to expand the team further in the coming months.”

Julie Harrison, banking and finance partner at Ward Hadaway, added: “The real estate and finance sectors are integral to Yorkshire’s economy and as a sector expert with significant experience, Lucinda will be an extremely valuable addition to our team.

“Real Estate Finance is an important area for us and Lucinda’s knowledge alongside that of Mark Smith, our Leeds banking partner, will further enhance the very specialist service which we provide to our clients. We wish her all the best for the future.”
