Ward Hadaway advises on recruitment group’s latest move

Law firm Ward Hadaway has advised an international recruitment group on its latest acquisition.
Corporate lawyers from the Manchester office of Ward Hadaway provided legal advice to Antal International on its purchase of office personnel specialist Smart Moves for an undisclosed sum.
Established in 2000, Smart Moves places office-based personnel into a variety of temporary and contract roles across a number of business sectors.
The acquisition of the company will help Antal International’s plans to further expand its UK operations. Smart Moves is based in Milton Keynes with Antal International a global group based in London with over 120 offices spread across more than 30 countries.
Antal’s Group CEO and Chairman Tony Goodwin said: “Welcoming Smart Moves into the Antal International Group is an essential part of our growth strategy across the UK. Through a planned programme of buy-to-grow acquisitions we aim to increase our multi-discipline offering by taking advantage of the talent and drive of recruitment businesses outside of London.”
Antal’s Group Finance Director Sagar Ruparelia, who, with his team led the deal, said: “Smart Moves is a great business, a strong brand in its market place with excellent client and candidate feedback.”
