No two organisations are the same and therefore simply deploying an “off the peg” health and wellbeing offer can end up feeling like wearing someone else’s pyjamas and expecting them to fit!

In this session, Claire Metcalfe, People Director at the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government will share how adapting the offer to suit the culture, risk profile and objectives of the organisation makes the difference in meeting the needs of the workforce. Claire will share her experiences from both the public and private sector, covering UK Rail, Aviation and the Civil Service.

The future is yours to craft - a more personalised approach to wellbeing

(Tailored Thinking)

Charlotte Axon

Charlotte is a Lead People Scientist at Tailored Thinking, a North-East based HR, positive psychology, and wellbeing consultancy. They specialise in encouraging and enabling individuals and teams to personalise their work, utilising the latest research from the field of positive and organisational psychology and behavioural science.

We personalise all aspects of our lives, yet rarely get encouraged to personalise our work, despite the evidence linking job crafting to measures of wellbeing, engagement, inclusion and performance.

This session explores the benefits of adopting a more personal touch to wellbeing at work, why this is often missing, and what we can do about it.

We will introduce the latest science related to ‘job crafting’, and specifically ‘wellbeing crafting’ – an approach which encourages people to personalise their work in support of their physical and mental wellbeing.

We will share frameworks and tools that will inspire you to start crafting your work immediately, as well as stories and examples of how crafting has been brought to life within organisations.
