Further boost for in-demand Corporate team
26th July, 2013
LAW firm Ward Hadaway has further strengthened its in-demand Corporate team with the recruitment of experienced dealmaker James Nightingale.
James (pictured), who joins the firm as an Associate, has over 10 years of experience of acting for private and public companies on an extensive variety of matters, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, fundraisings, investments, reorganisations and restructurings.
His recruitment comes as Ward Hadaway’s Corporate team sees a surge in demand for its services with £1.5bn worth of deals being advised on in the last 18 months.
James has advised clients on transactions in a broad spectrum of sectors, with particular expertise in the healthcare, energy and infrastructure sectors.
Recent deals he has advised on include the management buy-out of a gas supply business, the acquisition of an international oil and gas consultancy business for a FTSE 100 company and a venture capital investment for an owner managed healthcare provider.
James’ experience also includes acting for a homecare provider on a series of acquisitions and advising a public limited company on the disposal of its UK highways management and maintenance business.
Speaking on his appointment at Ward Hadaway, James said: “I am delighted to be joining a firm which I already know well from my work on a variety of corporate deals.
“Ward Hadaway’s reputation as a firm which really gets the job done when it comes to transactions goes before it so it feels great to be joining the team here, especially at such an exciting time when there are so many deals being done.
“I am really looking forward to working with my new colleagues and helping Ward Hadaway’s growing range of clients achieve their business goals.”
Martin Hulls, Partner and Head of Corporate at Ward Hadaway, said: “James is someone whose work we have known about for some time so it is terrific to be able to welcome him to the team.
“His experience and standing will add further firepower to our line-up during what is a very busy time for us and I am sure he will prove to be invaluable to our clients.”
