Ward Hadaway has been ranked in the top 20 corporate dealmakers nationally for the seventh year running.
The annual Experian MarketIQ M&A Review ranks the law firms and financial advisors that have been the most active in terms of corporate transactions across the UK and Republic of Ireland.
Ward Hadaway placed 16th nationally in the 2024 edition’s table, which ranks firms in order of the volume of deals completed. The 90 qualifying deals completed by our Corporate team represent an increase of more than a third compared to the previous year.
Richard Butts, Partner in our Corporate team, said: “This is a true reflection of our collective effort and we’re thrilled to see the hard work and expertise of our team recognised nationally and we are grateful to our clients who continue to appreciate the value in our advice and services by entrusting us with their business.
“We would also like to thank our network of associates and intermediaries, from funding partners to financial advisors, with whom we have worked and built highly collaborative and productive relationships.
“The strategic investments and ambitious growth plans we have across the firm stand us in good stead to build on this in the coming year, as we further build on this national standing. Whether a business is exploring a sale, merger, or acquisition, these results demonstrate our expertise on a national scale.”
The national picture painted by the report reflects what we have been seeing across our offices in Leeds, Manchester and Newcastle, with significant growth across many sectors
Whilst Ward Hadaway’s deal volumes grew by more than a third, the report highlights, a buoyancy within the markets across our office regions. The combined deal volume across the North East, North West and Yorkshire increased by 17%, while the value of those deals increased by 33%.
