Ward Hadaway's Private Client team is expanding with the appointments of three new solicitors.
Joan Russell, Sarah Adamson and Lily Lynch are the newest members of Ward Hadaway’s team across Newcastle and Leeds.
They will advise on all aspects of private client services including estate planning, wills, family trust creation and administration, inheritance tax, succession planning, lasting powers of attorney and probate.
Formerly a trainee with Ward Hadaway, Sarah qualified into the team last year and specialises in the administration of high-value estates, high-net worth individuals and other private individuals across the North.
She said: “Following my training contract at Ward Hadaway, I am delighted to be joining the Private Client department. My training contract has been a great opportunity to gain experience and skills in a range of legal areas including Healthcare, Property and a client secondment at Virgin Money.
“Our Private Client team has a diverse client base and I have really enjoyed getting to know our clients and finding bespoke solutions to their personal matters. Ward Hadaway’s Private Client team has an excellent reputation and I am excited to continue developing my career here.”
Joan, who hails from Hamilton in Scotland, has a wealth of experience which she has gained over the course of a career spanning more than three decades. She had been with the firm for two and a half years as part of the Personal Injury unit before joining the team.
She said: “I’ve always had an interest in private client work as I particularly like estates administration, it is fascinating work. Soft skills are an important part of my job as I talk with clients on a daily basis, but the one thing that’s vital to my role is having empathy with them as it helps me to identify the right solution to their problems.”
Lily, who works out of the Leeds office of Ward Hadaway alongside partner Andrew Evans, added: “I was over the moon to find out I had secured my career with the firm and am extremely excited to be joining the private client team who are really respected across the North.”
Andrew Facer, who heads the Private Client team in Newcastle, added: “I am delighted to welcome Joan, Sarah and Lily to the team. Together they will work closely with our clients and in-house Corporate, Banking and Real Estate teams to build bespoke solutions tailored to their individual needs.”
