Procurement in a Nutshell – Procurement Act 2023: January 2025 Update
31st January, 2025
The Cabinet Office has released the latest update regarding the Procurement Act 2023.
The update confirms that the Act will go live on 24th February 2025.
Central Digital Platform
Contracting authorities will be able to register on the Central Digital Platform, which will facilitate the publishing of required notices and documents in accordance with the new regulations, from the 27th January.
However, Suppliers will not be able to register until 24th February at the earliest.
To assist contracting authorities and prospective suppliers, the Cabinet Office has published video guides and accompanying user manuals. These guides should give an overview of the Central Digital Platform and the registration process. Please click here to access the guides.
National Procurement Policy Statement
The new National Procurement Policy Statement (NPPS) is said to be being finalised, however, please note that this will not be ready for 24th February given that the NPPS must be published and laid before Parliament for a minimum of 40 days.
