Procurement in a Nutshell – Procurement Pathway Template Documents
17th January, 2025
In addition to the Procurement Act 2023 Guidance Documents, the Government has also released a series of template documents to support contracting authorities with the implementation of the new regime.
Please click here to review the Guidance Documents
The Procurement Pathway site contains key documentation such as a ‘Pre-Procurement Checklist’, an Assessment Summary for the Most Advantageous Tender as well as a Conflict of Interest Declaration Form. The documents have been uploaded incrementally, with more templates to be published shortly.
The template documents provide practical guidance for in-scope bodies on how best to conduct a procurement in compliance with the Act. We would advise that contracting authorities review the templates currently available ahead of the Procurement Act ‘go live’ date of the 24th February 2025.
For a more detailed analysis of the key procedures introduced by the Procurement Act, as well as the obligations on contracting authorities, please see our full Procurement in a Nutshell series.

Please note that this briefing is designed to be informative, not advisory and represents our understanding of English law and practice as at the date indicated. We would always recommend that you should seek specific guidance on any particular legal issue.
