Elizabeth is a Solicitor within the planning team, and advises on all aspects of contentious and non-contentious planning matters.

In addition to advising national housebuilders, social housing providers, large landowner clients and public and voluntary sector organisations on planning and highways agreements, Stopping up Orders, TROs and other development, Elizabeth also advises local authorities on CPO schemes and enforcement matters. Elizabeth is particularly experienced as follows:

  • Reviewing, drafting and advising on the negotiation of planning obligations (section 106 agreements) and related deeds (unliteral deeds, and deeds of indemnity)
  • Carrying out planning due diligence (including reviewing and reporting upon planning consents and the discharge of planning conditions) in respect of both the sale by major land holding interests, and site acquisition and development by regional and national housebuilders and registered providers of social Housing
  • Drafting and advising upon planning related obligations within development agreements, sale contracts, option agreements and other documentation;
  • Providing advice on a variety of public rights of way matters, including acting for landowner clients in respect of a number of Definitive Map Modification Orders (preparing objection letters, witness statements and statements of case)
  • Providing advice and delivering training in respect of new legislative developments, such as the introduction of mandatory biodiversity net gain.
  • Advice in relation to the Development Consent Order process, and the drafting and negotiation of protective provisions
