Jonathan has many years experience in providing advice and representing clients in proceedings when the Court is asked to make decisions about the care of and arrangements for children.
This involves providing tailored advice and representing parents, grandparents and other family members on the breakdown of a relationship and when the arrangements for a child’s care need to be determined be that in relation to child arrangements, special guardianship or adoption.
He also assists families involved in public law proceedings where the local authority have become involved due to child protection concerns and when an application is made for a care or supervision order.
Since 2010 he has been an accredited member of the Law Society Children Panel which allows me to represent children in proceedings whether that be in private law proceedings or public law proceedings.
Alongside the children’s guardian he acts on behalf of children at the centre of proceedings, whether that be in relation to their living arrangements with parents or where the local authority have determined that they need to make decisions about them.
