Examples of Laura’s specific work include:
- Acting for a PLC tech company whose employees stole software and data and to act in competition and divert business. Obtained a search and seize injunction with a freezing order, gagging order and penal notice against three individuals.
- Representing the First and Third Defendants in Hague Plant Ltd v Hague & Ors [2016] EWHC 2663 (Ch) a three week Preliminary Issue in relation to a multimillion pound claim before the Vice Chancellor. Acting for the same parties at the Court of Appeal in Hague Plant Ltd v Hague & Ors [2014] EWCA Civ 1609. Obtaining judgment and costs orders in favour of the clients on both sets of proceedings.
- Acting for an insurer client in a coverage dispute with another insurer relating to multiple mortgage fraud claims worth over £3 million. Proceeded to arbitration and obtained a decision confirming that the claims were not the responsibility of our client.
- Acting for a clients in the building sector, facing a complex patent infringement claim. Running a patent invalidity defence resulting in a licensing agreement that allowed the client to keep its product on the market.
