Mark advises on the full sphere of day to day employment issues from recruitment to termination and everything in between. In doing so he focuses on achieving pragmatic and commercial solutions with the aim of avoiding litigation where appropriate.
Mark has also dealt with numerous complex discrimination issues based on race, gender, disability and sexual orientation.
He has carried out numerous restructuring and redundancy exercises for clients and is also involved in the employment aspects of business transfers both private and public.
Mark often does his own advocacy and has appeared in Tribunals throughout England and Scotland from as far afield as Inverness in the North to Reading in the South. He also has experience of representing NHS Trusts in complex internal disciplinary hearings, and has conducted cases in the Employment Appeal Tribunal.
Mark has also presented various seminars and presentations to both private and public sector clients, with a particular focus on MHPS and ARCP in the NHS.
