Tom is a Partner in the Corporate department advising clients on acquisitions, disposals, investments, MBOs/MBIs, corporate structures and reorganisations.

He has extensive experience working on a variety of transactions for both public and private companies as well as private equity houses and other investors across a range of sectors including pharmaceutical, human capital, aviation, leisure, motor, property and landed estates, engineering and manufacturing.

As a Legal 500 Leading Individual and ranked in Chambers & Partners, Tom is recognised as one of the leading corporate partners in the North East and has built an extensive regional and national M&A practice.

  • Acting for The Bannatyne Group plc on the acquisition of five health clubs in 12 months
  • Acting for the shareholder of a UK based provider of operational risk management software on the sale of the business to Prometheus Group
  • Acting on a £200m unsecured bilateral private note issue
  • Acting on numerous acquisitions and investments for Northumberland Estates
  • Acting for management on the leveraged MBO of eQS Group and simultaneous bolt on acquisition
