Alan advises clients on a range of employment issues, including both contentious and non-contentious matters. This includes advising clients on business restructures, large-scale redundancies and collective consultations. Alan also advises on senior executive disputes, complex dismissals and dealing with post-termination restrictive covenants. He also assists clients with complex litigation, negotiating settlements and cross-jurisdictional matters.
Alan has over 10 years’ experience advising businesses on immigration matters and assisting clients with overseas recruitment. This includes assisting with sponsor licence and visa applications, including under the Skilled Worker, Global Talent and Global Business Mobility routes. He also provides support to clients following a merger, takeover or change of ownership and the steps required to ensure compliance with the immigration rules.
Alan also provides advice and training on sponsor licence compliance and the prevention of illegal working, including assisting with complex right to work issues and defending civil penalties. He also assists clients with internal immigration audits and preparing for external audits by the Home Office.
